Mitchell manages the Real Estate Division of our firm, facilitating residential and commercial closings statewide in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Mitchell is a native of Philadelphia and has 15 years of experience in the legal industry. He began his legal career with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in Philadelphia. Thereafter, he began working in commercial litigation with corporate legal finance departments in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Virginia, and California. Expanding his experience in general practice law firm settings, Mitchell has specialized in the areas of family law, criminal defense, appellate and post-conviction relief, plaintiff's personal injury, bankruptcy, real estate law, insurance defense, and collections.
Since 2015, Mitchell has worked closely with thousands of buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and investors in real estate closing transactions. Mitchell is also an investor and general partner in commercial real estate, with California, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina holdings. He has learned that keeping your wealth is as important as making it and brings this knowledge to bear in every real estate transaction. Mitchell analyzes your position and puts nuanced strategies into place that will protect your property to the greatest extent possible and save you money in taxes and fees.
Mitchell's expertise in managing real estate closing transactions ensures that everyone understands the complex legal process of real estate closings and that everything is above board. Mitchell is a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem in North Carolina and Founder of the Joseph C. Buckland Opportunity Houses (JCBOH). JCBOH provides individuals with transitional housing, job placement, and resources when transitioning from incarceration to the community.
Mitchell enjoys regular, intense fitness regimens, traveling, and the outdoors with his Dalmatian, Sebastian.
